Empowering Caregivers to Fight Air Pollution and Safeguard Seniors' Health
Clean Air 3 is dedicated to improving air quality awareness and health outcomes for seniors. We provide tailored training, tools, and resources to caregivers and educators in senior centers and nursery homes, enabling them to mitigate the health risks associated with air pollution. Our mission is to protect vulnerable seniors and empower those who care for them to take actionable steps for a healthier environment.

The Clean Air 3 project is funded by the European Commission´s Erasmus + programme. The project started 01/11/2024, and the end date is 31/10/2026. Project reference number: Erasmus+ 2024-1-PL01-KA220-VET-000256729. The project is realized by international partners with various backgrounds (see more in the section “Partners”)

Our mission is to enhance the capacity of caregivers and educators through innovative educational materials, training on air pollution, and access to cutting-edge air quality sensors. By doing so, we aim to protect seniors’ health and raise awareness about environmental risks.

Stowarzyszenie Krakowski Alarm Smogowy (PL)
Based in Krakow, Poland, this non-profit organization is a leading advocate for air quality improvement. With extensive experience in public awareness campaigns and policy advocacy, they bring invaluable expertise in tackling air pollution challenges across Europe.
Comune di Volpedo (IT)
Located in the picturesque region of Northern Italy, this local government entity is at the forefront of addressing air pollution in rural areas. Through initiatives like the "Volpedo Hub," they engage seniors and communities in environmental education and action.
Manažerský Klub při ČZU v Praze (CZ)
Operating under the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, this club bridges the gap between academia and business. With expertise in educational and management projects, they are key contributors to the project’s training and dissemination activities.
CEDA (SK)
The Culture and Education Association in Nitra, Slovakia, focuses on sustainable development in rural communities. Through innovative ICT-based education projects, they support social and cultural enhancement, bringing fresh perspectives to the Clean Air 3 initiative.
SmogLab (PL)
SmogLab is a foundation that has been at the forefront of the fight for clean air since 2016. It brings together experts in environmental quality, media, and public engagement. Over the years, SmogLab has established a robust online presence through its dedicated news service, which focuses on raising awareness and delivering vital information about air quality and health.
Core Project Outputs (Concrete Deliverables):
  1. Brochure/Handbook (WP4):
  • A health-focused brochure for seniors, explaining the risks of air pollution and measures to mitigate exposure.
  • Pilot testing to ensure usability and effectiveness.
  1. Podcasts (WP2):
  • Development of podcasts aimed at raising awareness among senior care workers and seniors about air pollution's health effects.
  1. Short Videos (WP3):
  • Creation of engaging videos to visually demonstrate the impact of air pollution and prevention strategies.
  1. Air Quality Sensors (WP5):
  • Equipping one senior center per partner organization (total of 5 centers) with low-cost air quality sensors.
  • Training staff on how to use and interpret data from these sensors.
  1. Workshop Scenarios and Presentations (WP6):
  • Designing educational workshops and accompanying PowerPoint presentations tailored to educate seniors and their caregivers about air pollution.
  • Pilot testing the workshop structure for refinement.
  1. Dissemination Strategy (WP7):
  • Sharing the developed materials (brochures, videos, and podcasts) across platforms to maximize outreach.
  • Leveraging partnerships and networks for effective dissemination.
